Topic: Salary Reduction

Hi All,

Please help me.  I have been asked by my boss to take 30% pay cut due to lack of business and lower my title.  If I agreed, then he wants me to stay with the company.  Otherwise, he will let me go.  I am not sure what to do in this case because I have family to take care and job market is not so good right now.  I am in circuit board manufacturing business with MS degree in Electrical Engineering.   I would love to hear your advice, so please help.  Thanks.

Sorry this is happening, but there doesn't seem to be a choice here.  You can either earn 30% less or you can earn 100% less.  Take the cut and then get busy looking for something else.  At least you'll have some income in the meantime.

Its a big problem actually..maybe its just temporary? is it? if so then you have no choice..but if its not then i think you should think carefully whether to resign or stay..

Do you have any plan to agree with you boss, olivia? I don't think so it could be a good idea. Well, although, they said that we have to always follow what our boss is telling to us.
