Topic: Need help building on online forum for international students to simul

I teach International Negotiation to American and Chinese students in Shanghai. I am trying to build an online platform that will give international students a structured environment to A) discuss business customs and attitudes and, B) participate in simulated team negotiations.

Still in the early stages and could use some advice. I am able to get people to come to the site and look around -- but getting people to register and leave comments is a bit of a challenge.

Any advice or comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.

Andrew,

Creating a community can be challenging. We are working on the same thing here on the Negotiation Board.  What has worked for us so far is creating content that is useful and relevant, something that people can actually benefit from.

I just checked out your site (nice theme :D )  If your interested we could exchange guest posts to help spur some collaboration with our joint communities.

Linkedin is a pretty good place to create forums. I am a part of the Scotwork Negotiating Skills Alumni group and there is some good discussion points. It's a social networking site but it is purely for professionals.
